Our StoryChef Joshyy knew early that the kitchen wasn’t a phase — it was a calling. By 16, while most teenagers were still figuring themselves out, he already knew food would be part of his life from that moment forward. Not as a hobby. Not as a backup plan. As purpose.
His journey has taken him far beyond the average kitchen. Chef Joshyy spent over five years working at the Chrysler World Headquarters, where he prepared meals for top-level executives — including cooking multiple times for a billionaire CEO. It was there he learned that excellence isn’t about who’s watching… it’s about how you show up when they are.

From corporate dining, his career expanded into education, including work at Oakland University and later becoming the Executive Chef of Rochester Christian College, a private Christian institution. Leading kitchens in academic environments taught him how to balance structure with creativity — and how to feed large communities without losing soul.
Chef Joshyy also dedicated over 10 years to senior living, starting humbly as a prep cook and eventually rising to Culinary Director. Those years shaped him deeply. Cooking for seniors reminded him that food isn’t just eaten — it’s remembered.

Along the way, he sharpened his craft in restaurants, private and public golf courses, and high-volume culinary settings — learning that versatility isn’t optional in this industry, it’s survival.
In 2020, after years of people asking — and occasionally yelling — why he wasn’t sharing his food with the world, Chef Joshyy finally listened. Chef Joshyy Catering LLC was born, built on flavor, family, and the belief that everyone deserves a seat at the table.
Today, Chef Joshyy doesn’t just cater events — he curates experiences. His food is soulful, intentional, and unapologetically real. Whether it’s an intimate dinner, a milestone celebration, or an elevated dining event, his mission remains the same:
